The Ubiquitous Positioning (UbiPos) group of FGI has developed indoor/outdoor seamless positioning solutions for smartphone-based 3D personal navigation. The 3D-city model brings new 3D navigation experience to mobile users, while the ubiquitous positioning technology provides user’s location with higher reliability and accuracy both indoors and outdoors. The solutions have been successfully demonstrated in Shanghai EXPO, China and Tapiola center, Espoo, Finland. The outputs have been published i.e. as cover stories on GPS World. More information on the 3D-NAVI-EXPO project on the webpage, where links to several articles on the project can be found.
