The Finnish Geodetic Institute coordinated the EuroSDR/ISPRS Tree Extraction project comparing various methods of tree extraction using airborne image and laser scanning data. 12 partners from Germany, Sweden, Canada, Austria, Finland, Norway, Taiwan, USA, Switzerland, Poland and Italy participated in the study. This many methods using common data has not been compared in any study so far.
